Castle Level Update & Wishlist
First for this update, I'd like to touch on the progress I've made so far on the castle level. I wasn't too happy with the rather small size of the original level shown off, so I've decided to expand upon it and make the level much larger in scope. And to this end, I've succeeded. The level is much longer linearly, and most all of the platforms are in place. I've also added a locked door towards the end of the level, making exploration and out of the box thinking necessary to complete the stage.
The level is far from finished however. While I've started working on the ceiling, walls, and lighting of the scene, much of the level is still very bare. Moreover, many elements of the level are still missing. There are certainly platforms within the level that are impossible to reach, making the game unbeatable. Of course, I plan to add what is missing to create a completable experience.
On that note, I plan to work on the following over the coming days:
- Missing Walls and Ceilings
- Adding Lighting to dark areas of the map
- Creating a path to reach currently unreachable areas
- Designing the end of the level
